Positive Psychology and Strengths-Based Interventions: My Approach to Therapy and Coaching
I am a licensed psychologist, based in southern Westchester County, NY (Dobbs Ferry, NY) and in New York City. I have over 25 years of clinical experience doing psychotherapy with adults, teens and children.
I also do psychoeducational testing and assessments to assess for learning disabilities and psychiatric issues. My approach is based on concepts drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), positive psychology, coaching, family systems and brief therapy theoretical models and research. I also pay close attention to the mind-body connection, emphasizing exercise and nutrition. I focus on short-term, solution-focused work, with a highly collaborative style.
Specialties:
• Adults struggling with managing stress, anxiety, extended family, parenting or couples issues
• Individual and family therapy with children and adolescents
